True Grit

I went on a plane for the first time in my life on Tuesday. The taking off and landing were pretty neat, but the in between was nothing special. Luckily there were little screens with lots of viewing options. I was surprised at how many new movie options there were. I had seen pretty much all of them except the new Narnia one and True Grit. Maybe I'll watch Narnia on the way back.

True Grit is a Joel and Ethan Coen film, and tells the story of Mattie Ross, a young girl of 14 who hires Jeff Bridges to help her find her father's killer in the American West. Matt Damon is a Texas Ranger also looking for the same guy.

The acting is incredibly strong by all those involved, and you will be blown away by Hailee Steinfeld's Mattie. There are some lighthearted moments and heartwarming moments and some good old fashioned action and adventure. Westerns aren't really my thing, but there is something very likeable about this story and how determined Mattie Ross is.
