It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that I am a High School Musical fan, I may have even seen the third part in the theatre (but it was probably just because my sister wanted to see it...). So I was kind of looking forward to Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure carrying on the High School Musical legacy. I was a little worried about a whole movie's worth of Sharpay songs (they are good in small doses, but a whole movie?!) but by the end of the movie, I was hoping for more musical numbers, I'm pretty sure there was only like three throughout the whole movie and the songs weren't that great. This kind of poses a problem, because people (kids...) don't watch HSM for the amazing acting, they watch it for the singing and dancing, and there isn't a whole lot of that in Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure. Other than that, it was a cute movie, the dogs were adorable, and there is something charming about Ashley Tisdale (and her clothes were pretty cool).If you're hoping for another High School Musical, you will probably be disappointed.
I didn't even know they made this movie! I can't really imagine a HSM movie without the "rest of the gang." And I'm thinking the reason there were so few musical numbers is for the very reason you suggested... "a whole movie's worth of Sharpay songs!?) Euch...
